Karen Glenn

She has been the editor of several classroom literary magazines for Scholastic, the educational publisher, as well as the writer for Parade Magazine’s newspaper-in-education program and the judge of its annual nationwide teen poetry contest. She has worked as a poet-in-the-schools and holds a master’s degree in library science. Her articles have appeared in magazines from McCall’s and Seventeen to Living Fit. Her poems have been published in many journals including Poetry Northwest, Cream City Review, Seattle Review, and Southern Humanities Review. North American Review nominated her for a Pushcart Prize, and she has read her poetry on NPR’s All Things Considered.
