John Philip Drury is the author of five collections of poetry: The Teller’s Cage (Able Muse Press, 2024), Sea Level Rising (Able Muse Press, 2015), The Refugee Camp (Turning Point Books, 2011), Burning the Aspern Papers (Miami University Press, 2003), and The Disappearing Town (Miami University Press, 2000). He also wrote The Poetry Dictionary (1995) and Creating Poetry (1991), both published by Writer’s Digest Books. His awards include a Pushcart Prize, two Ohio Arts Council grants, an Ingram Merrill Foundation fellowship, and the Bernard F. Conners Prize for Poetry from The Paris Review. Drury is an Emeritus Professor of English at the University of Cincinnati.
