Harrison Hamm

Harrison Hamm is a poet, screenwriter, and essayist from Bolivar, Tennessee. His debut chapbook If It’s Country Music You Want won the 2025 Poetry Society of America Chapbook Fellowship. Nominated for Best New Poets, Hamm’s work appears in The Missouri Review,The Poetry Review, Foglifter, DIAGRAM, Hominum Journal, Verse Daily, and the anthologies Poetry Goes to the Movies from the Pacific Coast Poetry Series (Beyond Baroque Books, 2025), Ecobloomspaces (Iron Oak Editions, 2025) and Delicate Machinery (Sundress Publications, 2025). In 2025, he was a semifinalist for the Tupelo Press Snowbound Chapbook Award. His writing for film and TV have received honors from GLAAD, The Black List, New York Stage and Film, Diverso, and other organizations. He is a Goldwater Writing Workshop Fellow and MFA candidate in Creative Writing at New York University. Hamm is a finalist for a 2025 Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship.
