Frederick Ebright

B. 1912

Frederick Ebright was born and raised in Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, Elbright enlisted in the 13th Coast Artillery Regiment. He later was promoted to sergeant in the U.S. Army stationed in North Carolina.

During and after the war, Ebright was published in journals such as the New Yorker, Poetry magazine, and the New York Times. His work has been included in anthologies of war poetry, such as New Poems: An Anthology of American and British Verse (1944) and The War Poets (1945).
