Cathryn Essinger

Cathryn Essinger is the author of five books of poetry: Wings or Does the Caterpillar Dream of Flight (Dos Madres Press, 2020), The Apricot and the Moon (Dos Madres Press, 2020), What I Know about Innocence (Main Street Rag Press, 2009), My Dog Does Not Read Plato (Main Street Rag Press, 2004), and A Desk in the Elephant House (Texas Tech University Press, 1998), which won a Walt McDonald First-Book Series in Poetry. She lives in Troy, Ohio, where she raises butterflies and writes for ecological journals.
