Ae Hee Lee

Born in South Korea and raised in Peru, Ae Hee Lee is the author of the poetry collection Asterism (Tupelo Press, 2024), winner of the 2022 Dorset Prize. Lee’s poetry chapbooks include Bedtime || Riverbed (Compound Press, 2017); Dear bear, (Platypus Press, 2021); and Connotary (Bull City Press, 2021), winner of the 2021 Frost Place Chapbook Competition.

Lee was the recipient of the 2021 James Olney Award from The Southern Review and was named a 2020 Gregory Djanikian Scholar by Adroit Journal. Lee was a finalist for the 2022 Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship. She also received scholarships and awards from the Academy of American Poets, AWP, the Palm Beach Poetry Festival, and Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, among others.
