Geof Huth's commentary on Joel Lipman's visual poem ["Twelve Visual Poems," November 2008] states that "this technique produces a frisson between the apparently unrelated base text and Lipman's overtext." It has probably already been pointed out by other readers that the entire overtext is taken verbatim from the first paragraph of the base text, creating a much greater resonance than the commentary suggests.
