Join us for Ragdale in Chicago, a free event celebrating a new fellowship at Ragdale for poets, sponsored by the Poetry Foundation. Poet, artist, and Ragdale Fellow, avery r. young will speak about his own experience at Ragdale, share background on the new fellowship, and perform some of his work.

avery r. young is an interdisciplinary artist, educator, 3Arts Awardee, poetry editor for Bridge, and executive for the Floating Museum. young’s latest full-length recording, tubman. (FPE Records), is the soundtrack to his collection neckbone: visual verses (Northwestern University Press, 2019).

All guests over the age of two must wear a mask inside the Poetry Foundation building. Guests over the age of five must show proof of vaccination and booster up to the level to which they are eligible for their age group. Guests over the age of 18 must show ID alongside their proof of vaccination. Please note that some performers may choose to perform without a mask.
