All Chicago Poetry Block Party programs taking place inside the National Museum of Mexican Art and on 19th Street are wheelchair accessible.
Programming taking place in the park to east of the museum will have board pathways on the grass to provide a more even surface.
The museum has wheelchair accessible restrooms inside, and will be open until 5:00 PM.
Additional wheelchair accessible restrooms will be available on 19th Street from 3:00-8:00 PM.
Join us for the Fourth Annual Chicago Poetry Block Party, a free all-ages event celebrating poetry, music, and creativity! The arts are alive and open to all in a day of musical performances, poetry readings, writing workshops, visual art activities, and games.
Lester Rey, DÉCIMA, avery r. young, and the CPBP House Band directed by Ayanna Woods perform on the Chicago Poetry Block Party Stage, along with award-winning poets from across the United States. Party-goers can share their own poetry as well in an open mic.
