Visual artist Sharon Bourke works in printmaking and painting. Her poetry was published in Poetry in the 1960s and has been included in the anthologies Understanding the New Black Poetry: Black Speech & Black Music as Poetic Reference (1973), edited by Stephen Henderson, and Songs of Seasoned Women (2007), edited by Patti Tana.

Bourke lives in Central Islip, New York. She is a member of the East End Arts Council and the Long Island Black Artist Association. She has exhibited at the African American Museum, Islip Art Museum, the Art Center of Northern New Jersey, and various galleries.
