On the other side of longing

By Ari Wolff
A series of black clay knots are arranged in uneven rows in a rectangular formation on a white background. The spin, clench, and intersect, though none are connected. Some of the forms are repeated from "On learning how to hold oneself in the night," yet they are positioned in new ways. Some of the knots fade partially into gray; their shadows and edges appear tinged with white.
