On learning to hold oneself in the night

By Ari Wolff
A series of light gray clay knots are arranged in uneven rows in a rectangular formation on a black background. The knots twist, curl, and extend; most of the knots are singular, save for two smaller strands with two knots each. Some are tied tightly, while others are more open. They are laid out in rows and although they are all underhand knots, each form appears different from the others.
